Welcome to Paragraph Tools. Paragraph Tools is a FrameMaker
plug-in that provides the following tools for working
with FrameMaker paragraphs:

- List Paragraph Usage -- Creates a list of the paragraph tags used
  and not used in a Frame document or book

- Delete Unused Paragraph Tags -- Removes unused paragraph tags
  from a Frame document or book

- Create Paragraph Tag List -- Creates a list of paragraph tags to
  keep in a set of FrameMaker document

- Remove Non-list Paragraph Tags -- Removes paragraph tags from a
  Frame document or book that aren't included in a list of tags to
  keep

- Create Conversion Document -- Creates a list of paragraph tags
  that will be converted to other paragraph tags in a Frame document
  or book

- Convert Paragraphs -- Converts paragraph tags in a Frame document
  or book, based on a paragraph tag conversion document.

- Remove Overrides -- Removes overrides from all paragraphs in a
  Frame document or book

- Find Next Override -- Locates the next paragraph that contains an
  override in a text flow or table

Installation
------------
Perform the following steps to install Paragraph Tools for Sun Solaris:
1. Decide where you want the plug-in to be located and copy the appropriate
   version of it there. Remember this location.

2. Add an entry describing your client to the
   $FMHOME/fminit/UILanguage/APIArea/apiclients file, where
   UILanguage is a user-interface language directory. For example, if youÕre
   using the US English version of a FrameMaker product, you edit the file
   $FMHOME/fminit/usenglish/APIArea/apiclients. The entry should look
   like the following:
   
   <APIclient
   <Name paratools>
       <CommandLine xxxxx>
   >
   
   Replace the xxxxxx with the complete path to the paratools executable. 
   This is the location you decided in step 1.
   
3. Restart FrameMaker.

Shareware notice
----------------
Paragraph Tools is shareware. If you find Paragraph Tools
useful, please pay the shareware fee. The $10 cost is minimal, given
the amount of time that Paragraph Tools can save! Paying the shareware
fee also encourages development of other tools like Paragraph Tools.

Kagi, a shareware payment service, handles payment processing for 
Paragraph Tools. Ordinarily, a registration application is used to
create an electronic or paper document that can be sent to them indicating
the form of payment. Unfortunately, this application is available only for
Windows and the Macintosh. It is _not_ available for Solaris. To register
Paragraph Tools, we recommend that you download the Macintosh or Windows
version of Paragraph Tools, then use the Register application that comes in
either package. If you are unable to use either register using the 
Macintosh or Windows versions of Register, you may want to register 
online through the Silicon Prairie web site:
